Prayde is designed to be privacy-first. Your data stays on your device. This policy explains what permissions Prayde requests and how they are used.
No accounts
Prayde does not require you to create an account. There is no sign-up, no login and no user profile stored on any server. You open the app and use it.
No analytics or tracking
Prayde does not include analytics SDKs, crash reporters or advertising trackers. No data about your usage is collected, stored or transmitted.
No ads
Prayde does not display advertising and is not supported by any advertising network.
Location permission
Prayde requests access to your device location in order to calculate accurate local prayer times. Location data is used on-device only and is never transmitted to any server.
You may grant permission for location access while using the app, or you can set your city manually without granting location permission.
Calendar permission
Prayde requests access to Apple Calendar in order to read your existing events and, optionally, to write new events back to Apple Calendar.
Calendar data is used on-device only. No calendar data is transmitted to any server.
Notification permission
Prayde requests notification permission to deliver local reminders for prayer times, prayer starts and task or event reminders. All notifications are generated on-device and do not pass through any server.
Optional support
Prayde offers optional in-app support through Apple StoreKit consumable in-app purchases. Apple processes these purchases, and Prayde does not have access to your payment details.
Data stored on your device
Prayde stores your settings, tasks, prayer marks and preferences locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data is not backed up to any server operated by Prayde.
If you choose to enable iCloud Backup on your device, this data may be included in your iCloud backup, which is subject to Apple's privacy policy.
Website support form
The Prayde iOS app is local-first and does not collect personal data. The website contact form currently opens your email app using a mailto link and includes the details you enter, such as your name, email address, subject, message and device or iOS version.
The website does not store those form details in a database. They are only sent if you choose to send the generated email to Prayde.
